2026 Board of Directors Nominees
Klint Burningham
I have over 10 years in Senior Living experience and over 10 years in Hospitality combined which has elevated the standard of service I expect of my team to provide, which ensures the senior living experience the best it can be for residents, families and team members. I want to be engaged in solution building and as a board member for this organization, I will not only model that behavior, but also contribute to it as well.
Rachel Whitmarsh
I am asking for your vote for the Utah Assisted Living Association Board because assisted living is not just my profession — it is my life’s work, and I have grown through every level of it, from caregiver to Executive Director at Aspen Ridge Residences of Lehi, proudly affiliated with Larry H. Miller Senior Health, a Utah organization rooted in integrity and exceptional care. I care deeply about strengthening our industry, supporting one another as providers, and ensuring the families who trust us feel confident in the quality, compassion, and leadership we bring to senior living across Utah.
Jason Giatras
Jason is deeply dedicated and highly engaged in the assisted living industry. He brings strong leadership expertise and is genuinely committed to supporting and serving those who care for seniors across the state of Utah.
Macall Weight
I am passionate about senior care and have been involved in the industry for over a decade. I care deeply about the residents, their families, and our staff, and I am dedicated to working hard to improve the experience for everyone involved.
Mark Mun
I serve as the Executive Director at MBK Cottonwood Creek Senior Living, with nine years of experience in senior living leadership. I began my career in memory care before transitioning to assisted living, and the relationships I build with residents remain the heart of my work. Serving on the UALA board this past year has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I would be honored to continue supporting the important work UALA does for our communities and the seniors we serve.
Greg Atwood
Greg works collaboratively with his peers in the Assisted Living industry to improve processes, increase awareness and promote safe and fulfilling environments for residents and staff.
Rick Walker
Having served a total of nine years on the UALA Board across two previous terms, I have gained a deep appreciation for the collective impact of our association. Our industry thrives because of the tireless advocacy and commitment of its members. I am eager to once again lend my voice and experience to UALA’s mission of improving the lives of our residents. My goal is to collaborate with fellow board members to champion the needs of our community, supporting both the amazing residents we serve and the professionals who provide their care every day.
Erin Siffing
With over 24 years in healthcare serving seniors both in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Senior Living Communities, both in operations and sales, Erin is passionate about advocating for what's best for the seniors we serve as well as the communities in our industry.
Breeyn Payne
I am seeking to serve on the UALA Board because I am deeply committed to advancing the quality, integrity, and sustainability of assisted living in Utah. As a Director of Health Services and former hospice RN case manager with 10 years of experience, I bring both clinical and regulatory insight, along with a strong focus on compliance, collaboration, and resident-centered care. I am passionate about advocacy and would be honored to contribute my expertise and leadership to help strengthen and elevate assisted living communities across the state.
Ryan Kidman
I am a seasoned health care and business administrator with 20 years leading assisted living and memory care operations, certified as an Assisted Living Administrator. I have a proven record of restoring and growing census (typical gains 30–35%), negotiating contracts and delivering cost savings, and implementing policies, disaster plans, and compliance measures to protect resident safety and facility stability. I build strong partnerships with state legislators, social workers, healthcare providers, and families to drive referrals, high tour-to-move-in conversion rates, and sustained operational excellence—skills I will bring to the UALA board.
Chester Sipos
I have served as the Director of Food Services at Courtyard at Jamestown since 2004, with nearly four decades of experience in senior living. Throughout my career—including leadership roles with Marriott Senior Living Services and supporting multiple community openings nationwide—I have remained passionate about elevating the dining experience and overall quality of life for residents. As I look toward retirement in the coming years, I hope to continue contributing my experience and commitment to excellence by serving in a board role that supports seniors and strengthens our communities.
