Continuing Professional Education (CPEs)
Continuing Professional Education, or CPE, tracks the ongoing training professionals complete to keep their certifications and licenses current. The Utah Assisted Living Association offers multiple opportunities to earn these credits. A certificate of attendance is provided after each event.
Assisted Living CPE Requirement: R432-270-8-12: In addition to core competency training, the administrator shall complete a minimum of six hours of approved continuing professional education (CPE) annually that include a minimum of: (i) five hours in-person; (ii) one additional hour either in-person or online
Health Facility Administrator Requirement: R156-15-309: During each two-year period commencing on June 1 of each odd-numbered year, a licensee shall complete at least 40 hours of CPE directly related to the licensee's professional practice.
